The Waves Sports Club

The Waves has enjoyed a long history of patronage from the middle to older demographic and wanted to demonstrate the services, refurbished amenities and entertainment would also appeal to the younger, 30 Plus demographic. We were asked to create a new commercial to showcase their recent refurbishments while lowering the perceived age of the patrons that frequent the club.
Recognising that marketing to females as a destination for a ‘girls night out’ would hold sway over both genders, we took this approach and gave it a slight ‘casino feel’. Using match cuts throughout, the entire commercial has a smooth flow which guides the viewer along the journey of a great night out. The filmic style adds extra mood to the club and compliments the elegant, if not extravagant new fit-out.
